There used to be a guy based in North Brumopolis name of Jim Davies, who ran a model shop selling every conceivable item needed for the model enthusiast.
He was credited back in the 1970`s with having the (then) worlds biggest radio controlled model of a Lancaster, powered by four chainsaw motors I think.
Was a very impressive spectacle in flight.
Unfortunetley I have no idea where the model or where the man himself are now
I was watching that and thinking that 'what would be 'really' impressive is if they launched the X1 with a little rocket motor'. Then... fcuk me! Bloody marvellous. Some considerable skill displayed there: build, engineering and flying.
