fitter gen help!

hey all, currently on my fitter gen assessment and need a bit of help on cooling systems. I need to find out the two valves found in the radiator cap and their purpose

The radiator cap is in fact only one valve, a pressure release valve, and on cars it is usually set to 15 psi.

As the liquid cools there is an inlet valve that allows water in from the overflow/header tank.

By the looks of your study methods you'll be a CoW by next month!!

Re previous post, it depends on how the system is designed to return coolant to the radiator, some use the radiator overflow tube, in and out, ie landrover, some use a connection in the bottom radiator hose to put the expanded coolant back, this form needs different vac release arrangement.
