  1. Hey guys,

    I need to get my fitness up but don't know where to start!!! I plan on joining the QARANC when i graduate (in just under 18 months) However i need to lose weight and be able to do that 1.5 mile PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Health and Fitness

    There is a lot of good stuff in the "stickies" at the top of the page and lots of detail in the threads lower down the page.

    In summary, buy good trainers, moderate your food and alcohol intake, start gently, keep a diary and exercise regularly, building up slowly. If uncertain about something, ask on here, but don't ask about medical issues as they are best dealt with by your doctor!

    And, yes, exercising will hurt if you are to reach your 1.5mile target time!
