Firefox not firing

#1
Been using firefox without any problems for about a year. Am running the latest 3.6 beta and that has been stable.

An hour or so ago it crashed and I lost all my saved passwords so had to go the long way round and request passwords for sites. Cannot access my youtube account, came up with this when I tried to log in to youtube.

An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com.

Can't connect securely because the SSL protocol has been disabled.

(Error code: ssl_error_ssl_disabled)

All other sites are ok, but does not offer the remember password option as it used to. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same. Anyone have a quick fix, otherwise it's an older version of firefox tomorrow or google Chrome ?
