financial penalty

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I was at Sandhurst but decided to withdraw from training. During the several weeks it took to process my request for withdrawl, there was never any mention of a financial penalty. About 3 months after I left, I received a large bill from the army requesting reimbursement for training costs. Can the army do this if they do not inform you prior to leaving, that there will be a financial penalty and what the exact penalty will be?
  2. Suppose the route to go is reply that they didn't teach you anything at all. Ample evidence of that I suggest?
  3. Did the Army pay you a Bursary while you were at Uni?
  4. shhurely 007 can escape this fiendish dilemma?
  5. Get Q tomake a exploding cheque and send them that
  6. ******* cool idea slivers of silver and off you go
  7. no.
  8. Did you not read the small print? I was never a born leader anyway!!!

Ask them for a copy of the document, with your signature at the bottom, which states that you will be liable to re-imburse them if you withdraw early.
