Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Good evening all,

Well I'm not sure if this is in the right section, well I'll just stick it here.

My question is when I leave the Army next year I'm off to New Zealand is there any provisions that my final move (quarter) is to a port as I can imagine they will not pay for the full move ( wishful thinking on my behalf :) )? Any help with this would be brilliant or a steer to another post.

    Cheers all,

    Luke

As I understand it, it depends where you're based and how you're leaving.

If you're serving abroad, say BFG, then you can make a claim for the cost of a notional removals to Catterick.

If you're discharging in the UK, I'm sure the costs of the final move fall to you.

  3. Bluntsland thank you for your reply, in regards to my situation I am signing off on my own accord and I'm based in the UK. Just remember seeing something from a different forum about this matter arrggg.
