Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. You can't. That would be the end of the Royal Scots.

    Eh, sorry. Royal Fijians.
  2. Regimental rugby teams armywide will suffer. On the bright side though, cases of spousal abuse will plummet.
  3. That's kind of why I asked! Them and quite a few other regiments.
  4. They are in and out of the Commonwealth so much they are nicknamed Zeberdee!

  6. Quite right, often it's a race thing.

Apparently, on one occasion prior to Fiji being chucked out out of the C'wealth, the Fijan Army having rebelled; the New Zealand PM of the day (NZ having some sort of responsibility for the islands, then) instructed the NZ army to invade.

The RNZIR officers, having more inkling of the capabilities of the Fijian army than the PM, wisely demurred and the proposed invasion never happened and Fiji left the Commonwealth
  7. What a shame. What a waste.

Does anyone know more about the head-shed's roadmap and what it entails?
  8. They've been suspended before and recruitment didn't suffer i believe.
  9. Wow, there's a downside to having a military dictatorship after all? :?
  10. As a Welsh rugby supporter - bloody good show!

As a British subject, bloody bad show!!

Fiji - great place, great people, so sad about the politicians - just like Great Britain!
  11. Jeez - thats the RLC fecked then.
  12. While we were in Fiji enjoying local R & R and in particular holding a Coy Barbecue and Party the allegation that the married Brigade Commander who happened to be passing and was well oiled; copped off with a very dark lady with enormous bazookas is absolutely unfounded.
  13. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  14. It would make PRB Gutersloh like a ghost town! Good news for hopeful Nepalese retreads though
