Not in 'pool at that time, too poor for racism.
We could only afford protestant or catholic.

Solidarity, brother.

Hamilton rules out Belgian GP boycott
World champion Lewis Hamilton "stands with" US sports stars boycotting events to fight racism but does not think his missing a race would have an effect.

Basketball, baseball and football games have been postponed in the US after police shot Jacob Blake, a black man, seven times in the back on Sunday.
Hamilton said: "It's a shame that is what's needed over there to get a reaction. But that is in America and I don't know really if me doing anything here will particularly have any effect."

But taking the knee made such a difference.

I think it's just a matter of time before his own backers withdraw Femifresh from the firing line. Ultimately, large parts of the media want to see a verbose and eloquent young, Anglicised black person to help reinforce their own left-wing agenda. This bloke is utterly incompetent and undermines the efforts of both sides. He's not the useful idiot they are seeking.

Owen Jones made good TV, because he was easily rattled but too stupid to see when he was being played. No media outlet will want to risk being seen as doing that to a young black man.

War Hero
During a tour in Ghana and bimbling about on a weekend off, viewing a slave fort at Dix Cove ( Dutch) a small group of visiting Black Afro Americans were also on site and were absolutely horrified to learn from the guide that the slaves had been sold by the warlike Ashanti to the chaps at Dix Cove and not as a result of Eurotrash raiding the coastal area. The staff at Dix Cove would/could have been overrun by people who were determined not to be sold into slavery, in a mere matter of minutes. There were a few paltry cannon but that would have required crews who knew how to serve them to be able fend off a boarding party of stout-hearted chaps. My history was re-composed to suit new and illustrating facts.
G.M. Frazer covers this in his well researched and excellent book Flash for Freedom.
His Flashman series are my favourite history primer.

Seen on Twatter he has questioned why BBC staff are allowed to wear Poppies if they are not allowed to make political points on Twitter etc in their own time.

Wearing a poppy is not a political statement, the boy is an idiot.

Carole Malone has outsmarted him at every turn. She actually said "Femi, you cannot deal with facts".
