Favouite rifle you've actually fired?

NO NEED TO MENTION THE SLR

Some years ago I fired the PPsH-42 (?) - the Russian "Burp" gun. Made the AK look refined but incredibly simple, robust and no muzzle climb on auto. Just felt "right".

Last year a fired the M1 Garand in .3006 - THAT, gentlemen, fires a proper round, kicks like the proverbial mule. Much bigger recoil than 7.62 NATO.

I also liked the L96.

Oh, and NO NEED TO MENTION THE SLR

I met a bunch of Luftwaffe people on a rifle range once. They were firing the H&K G36. It looks fairly sci-fi like and isn't very heavy.
Still, because of it's size it is stable to hold on to and because is fires 5.56 NATO and is gas operated there is almost no recoil.

I also enjoyed firing an AK-74 on full auto. Didn't even need a shot slivo to do that!

Either my MP5 with all the Gucci or the Steyr HS .50 BMG (sadly not mine). Any bolt action rifle is always a treat.

The owner of the gun club I went to while in the states owned a Remington 700p, slightly different to the civvie version. Really lovely weapon.

The most fun I've had was with a SA58 OSW. (FN FAL licenced carbine)

Full auto, old car wreck, melons, large containers full of water and finally some propane canisters. All for $100. Quality
