There’s another video on YouTube of the old boy and he says 450 rounds per minute for normal infantry use and 1000 rounds per minute for use against modern high speed aircraft.

BTW The gun may have seen some use in WWII as those diagrams came from here:

There must have been a number of guns available to make it worth while to produce the BR. It talks of loading the magazines with ball and tracer 1 & 1 and that hose pipe shooting should be employed, presumably on small ships.
