Farage, the morons messiah....

Quite. Look at UKIP’s disciplinary actions compared to Labour.

In UKIP, if you said anything racist, you were booted out.

Yet UKIP were portrayed as the party of racists.
Because even the Pope gets tired of only talking about Christianity.
You simply can't have people talking shop all the time.

In Labour, if you said anything racist, the Party would claim you were taken out on context.

Cancel culture.

don’t like what somebody has to say, claim they’re an ist or phobic to shut them down.

remember all the ‘leave voters were uneducated, old, racist people?

mote recent in depth analysis shows that the lines weren’t as easy to define previously. Something like a third of graduates voted leave. Guess what, that group weren’t graduates in humanities. They were business and Engineering types.

many mention been made yet that the generation so against the EU were the generation that was around when we voted to join the EEC? What happened? Did the once enlightened, tolerant and educated electorate of the 70s lose their degree certificates.

Well, UKIP starts at the Extreme Right Wing of the Conservative Party, and then heads off to the Right, in an Extreme sort of way.
Patrick O Flynn of the Social Democrats (Centre-Left) was in UKIP. He is not and never has been an extreme of anything. Extreme right wing conservatism would be complete free market and almost no state. Extreme right wing socialism would be big state, totalitarian.

And here in lies the problem.

people tried to link the pro/anti EU campaign with left wing/right wing politics.

european federalism out a third dimension onto the traditional political spectrum.
Left wing pro EU.
Right wing pro EU.
Left wing Anti EU
Right wing anti EU.

nobody could accuse George Galloway of being an extreme right winger, or German born, now ex Labour MP Giselle Stuart of being extreme right wing. Then there’s obviously Nigel who’s so racist he married a German.

people voted for a multitude of reasons which ever way they felt was important to them. I wanted out as I have a massive issue with a democratic unelectable organisation who’s previous reincarnations have resulted in death and destruction. I lost count of the amount of times that people who shared a different view kept telling me I’d voted to leave because of immigration. They couldn’t quite get their head around immigration not being a problem for me as I love it as both myself and my wife are landlords. More immigrants, higher rents.

admittedly I’m not a truthful as those who voted remain because they want a ready supply of cheap Labour to make their prete mange humus sandwhich instead of making their on pieces to take into work.

Rubbish,at a push UKIP could be equated with the old fashioned Tory party perhaps the last true tory being thatcher.Far right to my mind involves death campd, internment without trial (remember NI?) zyclon b etc,NOT suggesting illegal migrants should be sent home & persecution of NI vets should cease

How’s it on the extreme right wing?
Bare in mind the ultimate expression of extreme right wing is fascism that normally ends up with a desire for an unaccountable, undemocratically elected governing body that is run for the benefit of the large corporations and an autarky.

well that’s what Hitler pushed for.......not too dissimilar to the EU.

de what’s happened there. Anybody who criticised the EU is viewed as extreme right wing by its supporters, yet the EUs supporters in turn are defending an organisation that mimicks a facist country that tried to unite Europe.

hitler and the EU had a common goal. He only difference being that Hitler got drawn into the politics of anti Semitism. The result now is that people struggle to disentangle the similarities because one doesn’t have an anti sememtic agenda

Errr, it's not too dissimilar to Socialism.

Research what the NAZI Party stood for and the Ribbentrop Treaty.

UKIP = ERW?How so?

I was using "Boumers" definition, seemingly in his world any agenda that is right of what most call centre, must be ERW, and of course the beeb & much of our MSM think the same!
You know the same logic that called brexiteers thick & racist!

I’m not sure if pointing out UKIP’s zero tolerance approach to racism in a debate about UKIP’s supposed racism is “whataboutery”, but whatever floats your boat.
UKIPs "public" zero tolerance to racism doesn't seem to stop it being the natural home of lots of racists.
Since the Labour Party isn't UKIP, it seems that dragging them into the debate is pure evasive whataboutery on your part.
Still, if that's what floats your boat...

I disagree. Using Labour’s support and tolerance of racism as a baseline enables us to focus less on partisanship and more on facts.

UKIP under Farage’s leadership did fire and deselected people making racist comments. They did so quickly; no excuses, no attempts to justify, just fired.

Labour only ever fired members and candidates after weeks / months / years of excuses and prevaricating.

This isn’t whataboutery; it’s a valid comparison highlighting how your view that UKIP is the home of racists is incorrect.

I’ve met an awful lot of very racist trades Union types.

trade unionism = Labour.

therefore is Labour a racist organisation?

or shall we say that racism, like homosexuality isn’t an indicator of support or opposition to a political ideal?

UKiP is the natural home to a lot of natural racists because those who are/were scared of UKIPs reason detre chose to push that message out.

The SNP for example like to push out corruption within the Conservative party whilst conveniently ignoring its own corruption.

politics has two constructs. A grouping for those of like minded people and a mechanism for those people to try and influence the less committed to their cause.

It’s easier to vilify the opposition than debate them to influence those that you’re trying to recruit.

I suspect that’s the reason why Trump and brexit were successful. People had enough of being accused of some horrible things because their viewpoint didn’t jive with somebody who felt entitled.

My bold .. if by "RACIST" you mean the "wokerati", BBC & msm's definition, which seems to be if you are patriotic, pro British and not in a constant grovelling apology mode for what out forebears might or might not have done in various parts of the globe, whilst in the main civilising, stamping out witchcraft, slavery and numerous other nasty habits lots of the duskier folk seem to have indulged in. Then you MIGHT BE RIGHT!
I supported them and even voted for them on one occasion and if that makes me racist in the wokerati's eyes, tough! They can grovel, take the knee to drug addled yank negro criminals memories if they want, I WON'T & will continue to support Britain and the British way of life. I resent my taxes being wasted on the ever increasing tsunami of third world chancers who are flooding in to leech on our NHS & benefit system.
I want a police & legal system that is fair to all irrespective of race, colour or creed, I don't want Muslims or other incomers excused for offences 'cos they didn't understand our ways/laws, I want foreign origin criminals deported along with their extended & often benefit sponging families, never to be allowed to return.
Our country is already overfull, our infrastructures are almost at breaking point, a good clear out of the millions of illegals already here would help that.

No, I think by "racist" I actually meant "racist" .

Like the ones that UKIP has a lot of.

And the SNP, Plaid, DUP, Sinn Fein, Labour, Libs Dems and Conservatives.

shall we just say that racism exists along all levels of the political spectrum?

we could add that one area of that political spectrum likes to make call rather than debate their opinion.
