Family support centre in deployed unit's home area

A commendable initiative by a local newspaper, with the full support of the Regiment, the local authority and a local hotel, to provide a support centre for friends and family in the heart of the regimental recruiting area. Good drills.

“I know through families I’ve spoken to that although there is a very effective support network for wives and children based at Warminster, here in the very heartland of Black Watch country single parents, grannies and other relatives can feel very cut-off from that network.”
