Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have a large number of military books, and quite a few about the Falklands Conflict that I have read. Does anyone wish to swap them for some others on the same subject. Have a real interest after having been stationed there and done the battlefield tours etc. Also have both of General Sir Peter De La Billiere's books and Norman Schwarzkopf's.
  2. i can reccomend a book to read if you have not already read it
    Falklands Commando by Hugh McManners-
    i liked it:)
  3. Relation of yours by any chance?

'Don't cry for me Sergeant Major' is always a good read.
  4. yeah- my dad, but iu am completely un-biased, it is a good book and v. truthfull
  5. One of the most impressive books emerging from the war was 'Not Mentioned in Despatches' by Spencer FitzGibbon. A revisionist view of Goose Green. Don't own a copy NAP6W sorry.
