Falkland Islands to be left without warship

50 steely eyed killers vs 5000 macho spics
hardly fair odds
suppose 45 can stay in the bar to give the spics a chance

Did I fall asleep and wake up in 1981? Cutbacks in our military presence to the point having a go seems a decent bet for the Argies.

So it's true, then. New Labour are just the Tories in another guise.

Crap article, full of holes. Garrison is significantly more than 50 soldiers! Was done to death a few days ago and general consensus was that while it would be nice to have DDG of the FI, there is no real NEED for one in current climate.

Perhaps it was 50 Inf? Not sure how many are down there however.

The Argies forces also have fallen on hard times, there are less troops and the equipments haven''t been updated much since 1982, IIRC still you never know they may try it on again if there situation was favourable and the Argentinian public supports it.

Oooooo you cynic, you! 8O

Is that why he got Maradonna over to Scotland the other week? Hoping for a scuffle or assassination attempt to provoke the Argies?

The APT(S) (Atlantic Patrol Task South) ship is often diverted from the Falklands for all sorts of reasons. The only reason this has made headlines in the Torygraph is because she will be joining the EU force off Somalia. And, in any case, there is nothing to worry about because the mighty RFA Largs Bay with her 4 gimpies will scare off any spics stupid enough to try it on...
