Facebook: Arrses role in educating the stupid

#1
I know Facebook/Faceache is not thought of very highly by Arrsers, and rightly so, it's shit house.
But unfortunately in the current world we live in Social media has a huge role in peoples (pathetic) lives and seems to be how most people get their current events and information/misinformation.

It's scary how the public voice can be so easily influenced and how the Governments can be influenced bt public opinion that is based on lies.

Today I have read some shockingly stupid comments on Facebook.
The worst being that after Frances recent attack against ISIS; "Makes France as bad as ISIS, think of the innocent Syrians that may have been killed". Many other strong anti France opinions seem to be held by people that obviously haven't been watching the News at all for the past two years.

I think it is our duty to try and educate people to what is really happening in the world, and try open their eyes to the bigger picture. I know it's a losing battle mostly, but we need to try. The current batch of people need showing the light before they convince our politicians to boycott France for their "Knee jerk reaction" in attacking ISIS after the event's in Paris.

I very much doubt that'll happen. Not when its the "cool" thing to do at the moment when you stand shoulder to shoulder with the French and show solidarity with their country. All the politicians are doing it.

And FYI, I'd leave out the c-word in Current Affairs. You'll probably get warning points or ROPs.

This public information broadcast was brought to you by Ritch.

If you really want to educate folks as to what's happening, tell them to look at this website:
Socialist Workers Party - an anti-capitalist, revolutionary party

How do you propose to do this then?

I've just remembered why I was trying to PM you.

This skiprat http://www.arrse.co.uk/community/members/wargasmnow.115814/ is trying to outdo you with the BS ratings. He's not a very kind person and keeps flinging the nasty pastys at me. That's just mean and awful. I've always been pleasant to you and @shibusa2.

Can you two make him think about his actions (looking at you here @shibusa2) and hope he realises that his posts can be hurtful?

It's a lost cause to think you can change face-ache, it is full of numpties that think they have a grip on reallity, unfortunately they are the same ignorant, chav, socially inept, low intelligence idiots who blight modern society, mostly. There are still enough intelligent, grounded people who counteract the idiots, for every negative comment against the French on there, there is a positive. Most people realise that the only way to drive these so called extremists (ISIS) into the sea, is by military action, air attacks are only part of that. The light bulb moment should be for most people, the meeting of Obama and Poutin yesterday, a storm is brewing!

So ARRSE then but more successful and with less copy and paste articles passed off as the posters original thought.

As an aside my Facebook is chokka full of stupidity and posing like this

Rather than blaming France the main response has been for armchair hero's asserting that a few good men should be on route to Syria to sort out ISIS and allow freedom to flourish.

Facebook is just proof that the infinite monkey theorem is bollocks.

Just stop it. You'd get a better quality of education by mainlining cillit bang and then hitting yourself in the head with a brick.

MkG
He does that as well, I'd say.

I'm not sure what is going on in the brains of my generation but a lot of them on Faceache all seem to be totally engrossed in all this conspiracy theory crap and spend all day posting links to either David Icke memes or spouting off about false flags etc. Here's a couple from this morning

France have dropped 20 bombs on Syria.

Yeah cos that's fair

Might aswell wipe out another 1,000 innocent civilians and add it to the French death count that's probably in the 10's of thousands already.

...
Its worth noting that France attacked the ISIS Depot in 2014 and have been bombing Syria for years.
So Cameron has now revealed the 7 terror attacks where rumbled in the UK over the last year? Pushing for war much you utter knob! He is the biggest terrorist in this country ‪#‎******

May I humbly suggest those arrsers complaining about people posting stupidness on Fb take a long hard look at who THEY have included as Fb Friends?

If you add people as Fb friends and they either post, copy or share stupid things and you keep them as Fb friends then who is the real stupid person?

You should choose your friends more carefully. It's only them that contribute.to your feed you know.
