Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Farewell to an old friend. Ex-CPO(D) Stephen 'Darby' Allan who died after a demining incident last Friday. RIP.
Darby was also involved in the RN EOD clearance of Kuwait's beaches, harbours, coastal waters and other areas during and after GW1. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

  2. Sad news. I didn't know him but a shock to all of us involved in the civilian demining sector.

    A tribute from MAG:

RIP ... you will always be remembered by those whoms lives are made better by your work.

  3. I used to know Darby quite well and this has come as a shock.
Always the profesisonal diver and navy man.
A very sad lose for all. My thoughts go out to his mum, sisters and brother.

    RIP

  4. A moving tribute, and record of a great life. I take my hat off to you.

    Rest in Peace.
