Ex-reg thinking of joining the RAMC (V) TA

#1
I'm thinking of joining the TA after 9 and a half years in the regs, the cap badges that are near me are The rifles, a REME detatchment of the rifes or the RAMC. If I was to join I would go REME (as VM) or RAMC (as Environmental Health Technician) I hear CMT's don't get many civvi quilifications. Can some one with a few years experiance let me know if this is the right route to take (Environmental Health Technician) because I think I will end up going for the RAMC and can anyone let me know if CMT is a worth while job?

Personally if your looking fot the TA to give you a trade the RAMC is not for you probably unless you already have EH qualifications or are working towards them. CMA will soon replace CMT within the TA and there is an over abudance of CMT's out there within Role 3 AMS TA units. What were you as a regolar and do you really need to change trades. There are many incentives for Ex Regs joining also fully bounty reduced trg requirements and no compulsory mobilisation in first 3 years since leaving regs. PM me if you need more advice or info.
