Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

Stand by for 'Trigger' comments. You might want to check out the Barnsley By-Election thread and make yourself scarce...
  3. I'll do that.Whatever his political affiliations,I'm sure he'll speak for the Armed Forces, when he can.

  4. Evenin' Trigger!
  5. It's possible the Army got the better deal from this,at the very least if he opens his mouth about defence/the armed forces he may have a clue what he's talking about.Time will tell.
  6. Labour not being in power means that any positive input to defence matters [unless he sits on a defence committee] will achieve the square root of sweet FA. If Labour were in power and he did not toe the party line [whip] then he would be [probably] another one of the [very few] upstanding MP's who are sidelined [think Frank Field]

Judging by the present high standard of the Labour Party MPs , the nice but dims, thieving cnuts and commy barstewards, he could well be in the running for the Next Prime Minister IMHO

We have nobody in government that ever wore army boots, a Para will make a nice change, if his party ever come to power God forbid, or that he becomes part of the coalition? But how the hell can one expect a Labour thinking Para to ever think 'Left wing'?.
