Ex Black Watch

#1
Eric Joyce who joined the Black watch in 1979 and worked his way through the ranks to major in the Adjutant-General's Corps (Teacher!), thrown out in 1999 becauise he said the hierarchy of the army is obsessed with the notion of an officer class. (Something he was clearly not obsessed with??), joined Tony Bliars Labour Party and subsequently resigned his job for drink driving but stayed on the payroll as an MP, where he claimed the largest amounts posible, just been done agin for fighting in a bar!!

The Black Watch certainly breeds em!!

Aye, see you jimmy...

I pinched the photo from this site - The Campaign for Human Rights at Glasgow Uni: Labour MP Eric Joyce starts the ‘200k club’, MPs who top the MPs’ expenses list with £200,000 in claims, cheaper to bring back Jim Devine! -- which has this to say about him:

Now meet Labour MP Eric Joyce.

Just as Andrew Carnegie was donating to the poor and disadvantaged, Eric Joyce is doing the opposite.

He is using taxpayers’ money like it was water making life harder.

It’s so funny, that you could be tempted to say:

‘Oh look there’s Eric Joyce spending taxpayers money’ and not bat an eyelid.

The Scottish Labour MP has yet again topped a list of the highest parliamentary expenses claimers.

Five years ago, he pledged to cut his claims.

It was a brief summer!

Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is in disgrace, he resigned from his Labour Northern Ireland brief last year over a drink driving conviction.

Drink driving is a disgrace.

He is now the only member of the Westminster Parliament to claim more than £200,000 in 2009/10.

The founding member of the 200k club!

And it is not the first time that Eric Joyce has been living it large on the backs of the public, he was also the highest claimant in 2008.

Last night, Mr Joyce, whose children live in London, said:

“I do not know why my travel expenses are so high. All I can say is that I guess I travel up and down more often than other MPs.”

He further opined that his twin children frequently travelled with him between London and Scotland.

Which constituency do they represent?

Parliamentary expenses should be solely for the person elected, not their family, although this is allowed in the rules, it is wrong.

No surprises that the highest claimer is a Labour MP, they really know how to work a trough to the max.

I always remember Eric Joyce on Newsnight Scotland when asked why he bought three oil paintings for his office.

He replied that they were ‘nice’!

£180 for three ‘nice’ oil paintings for the punters to look at before they get an audience with Joyce at his constituency office!

The ‘age of austerity’ and ‘we’re all in this together’?

I don’t think so and I am pretty sure neither does Labour MP Eric Joyce.

It would be cheaper to have ex Labour MP Jim Devine back!

Yours sincerely

Odious man, if this was the NAAFI I would add that I could spend all day smashing his head in with a blunt instrument, but it's not, so I'll stick with odious man.

Oh God, not this shitsack again.

A quick search on here will reveal pages of 'coverage' - all of which is most uncomplimentary. I had the pleasure of enduring him on a four month long course many years ago and I ******* loath him.

I guess if he was a Tory MP, he would be a good egg eh?
As often as not you'd be right but, No, not in his case, sadly not. The man is an absolute knob.

The Black Watch do not breed em!

Joyce joined the Black Watch in 1978 and could not hack it so he left. Between 81 and 87 he went to Techie and Uni where he was made a probationary 2nd Lieutenant.

In 1987 he went to RMAS and was commissioned into the RAEC where he stayed until 1999 when he was asked to leave.

He spent more time in the RAEC than he did in the BW so perhaps it is RMAS and the RAEC that breeds them.

Bit of a wasted post there Jock. You're arguing with people who never let the facts get in the way of a ******* good old fashioned foamy mouthed rant.
