Europe terror attacks

You’ve got the wrong poster mate although it’s not the first time I’ve been mistakenly flagged up as the other guy.

For the record, as another Green Jacket, I’d happily buy him a pint but our views are completely different.
IIRC someone thought it would be funny to pretend you where Royal Greenjacket...

and also giving people ideas
Yeah, as if the Jihadis never thought of targeting a Christmas market?

Meanwhile back in reality...

All attackers just happen to be of the same religion. Who'd have guessed?!

The German Alte Wilhelm have got two suspects for the wave of bomb threats that hit German transport and institutions in the wake of the HAMAS malarkey.

I hope they nail their hats on!

Quelle suprise!

We warned this would happen, another failing of multiculturalism.

Funny how it always appears to be those from the same religion, doesn't it?

Well done to the Security Services and all involved in this operation.

Potential terror attack averted, but we need to be on our guard more than ever now.

Will Sadiq say it's part and parcel of living in a big city?

So when did they last carry out an attack on a Christmas market?

Will Sadiq say it's part and parcel of living in a big city?
Will he be selectively quoted yet again if he does?

What he actually said:

“Part and parcel of living in a great, global city is you’ve got to be prepared for these things, you’ve got to be vigilant, you’ve got to support the police”

“The terrorists are evolving their tactics and we have got to evolve our response to them all the time. I am afraid the consequences of a terror attack are very, very scary. They want to kill. They want to maim and terrify. It is my job to try to make sure that we are as safe as we can be.”

You may have a point if this was a non-military-themed website, however, the majority of posters on this site have served in theatres noted for terrorist activities, i.e. NI, Iraq, and Afghan
Highlighting previous examples of Muslim terrorism in Europe is not creating any level of paranoia
Maybe, but aiming to spread hatred of Muslims plays into Islamist hands.

Better link:

Setting aside moral considerations, those who flirt with hate speech against Muslims should realize they are playing directly into the hands of al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. The terrorists’ explicit hope has been to try to provoke a clash of civilizations — telling Muslims that the United States is at war with them and their religion. When Western politicians propose blanket discrimination against Islam, they bolster the terrorists’ propaganda."

Muslims are doing more than enough all by their own efforts to sow the seeds of distrust and dislike in the general population (whether they are religious or not). Since October 07th the veneer of multiculturalism being wholly positive has pretty much imploded.

ETA I've no idea how to square this circle, the situation in Israel-Palestine is going to give birth to a whole host of other geo-security issues our political classes probably havent considered in any great depth.

The most useful thing we can do is to get the BBC and others, to provide as much as a voice as possible to moderate voices in Iran

They have a very young population, and I'm not sure their priorities align with the religious leaders running the country

Lower the support to Hamas, and the Israel-Palestine issue could be calmed down

Young potential opposition to the regime in Tehran is only one piece of the jigsaw. For now the protests that began in 2019, are not reaping any rewards

Outside of that, do you have any other options to lower global support for Hamas?

ETA Not asked as a gotcha, but looking at this globally asks more questions than reckonising solutions
