  1. ONE YEARFixed Term Contract

Is this the career change you are looking for?

The Environment Agency operates 24/7 and as a Communications Officer in our Regional Communications Centre you will deal with everything from flooding to pollution prevention and environmental protection.

Do you share our concern for the environment? Have you experience of handling telephone calls from the public but are interested in work that offers a different challenge to the traditional call centre? Would you say you are a good communicator, computer literate, able to work well under pressure and have commitment to good customer service?

If so, then as part of our team you could help ensure that the appropriate action and support is provided by the Region to any reported incident. Working different shifts over a six week pattern, you will help provide continuous cover over a 7 day period, including weekends and nights, for which allowances will be paid in addition to the basic salary.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 12 January 2007 and interviews will be held on 22 January 2007.

Applications are available from and should be returned to Eleri Robertson-Williams, HR Dept. Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading, RG1 8DQ. Tel 7 25 5639 (int) 0118 9535639 (ext).
  2. The agency is also recruiting full and part time temps for the above job as well from Reeds recruitment, Reading Office.
