Well of course he'll keep the Lancaster House accords. Britain wants to "co-operate" on defence spending. For Britain that means a joint development of capability and training, with commonality of spares etc buying from the best sources in open competition. For the French all it means they can get a lot of workshare on equipment that Britain buys.

  2. Courage mon petites singes!

    Qui est la reverse?

  3. And have someone to fight the Germans for them.

I suspect the French feel that they've neutered the German beast but feel less sanguine about the Brits. It will be very difficult for us to withdraw from Europe and nuke France if half our missile design is done in Paris.

  5. True, but the French wizzy bits do have an unfortunate tendency to refuse to attack...

    Sea Viper! Engage!

    Je refuser le combat!!!!

    et splash…………

Fcuking ace, I'd vote for him if he'd get the work-sky cnuts out.
The only reason they re-joined NATO was the thought of losing huge financial profits they'd scored in the UNPROFOR job. Most of the fresh was provided by the French (& the Germans,) & if they'd not kept the gig thousands of angry farmers would have had to leave their holiday villas to demonstrate in Paris.

Once the Gaullists have gapped it French will revert to it's position as a minority tongue for a couple of member countries, maybe this time it can be axed as the second official NATO language.

Well nip down to your own holiday villa in the Dordogne, register to vote and put your mark against the socialists. It's your right as a European.
