    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Engineering Manager to look after two Container Terminals maintenance activities in Saudi Arabia. The position is for a leading international Port Operator.

    The successful Engineering Manager will be responsible for all maintenance activities on the port. Responsibilities will include:

    • Manage day to day maintenance activities on the port
    • Implement and enforce QHSE activities within the Engineering department
    • Set and follow up on KPI’s and deliverables within the port engineering department
    • Reduce AIR’s (Accident Incident Rates) to a minimum
    • Understand and utilise technical reports and data (I.e. oil analysis, mean time failures and mean time repairs)
    • Continually review Planned Maintenance schedules to ensure equipment availability optimisation
    • Be responsible for continuous improvement activities
    • Have a strategic overview of Engineering on the port
    • Ensure compliance to local legislation, laws and certification
    • Look after and produce financial budgets and then manage expenditure
    • Work closely with the Operations department to ensure optimum levels of equipment availability
    • Manage a large multinational team to ensure productivity and efficiency within the team

    Personal Requirements

    • A degree or similar within a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering)
    • Must have previous experience managing engineering activities within a port environment
    • Strong knowledge of container handling equipment (Ship to Shore Cranes, Reach Stackers, RTG’s etc,) is essential
    • ISO experience (1401 and 1801) is advantageous
    • Previous experience of working in Saudi Arabia is desirable
