Energy in Ration packs

#1
How much energy is their in the normal 24 hour ration pack? Not the new ones with marmite etc. in, but the good old ones with chocolate pudding and so on.

Not sure about the exact figures without being at work but I do know that the new menus broadly have the same calorific value as the ones they replaced.

Not a clue but I do know that a nice bit of mature cheddar on the Biscuits Brown is good, always saved them for later for when I needed the energy after a big meal.

The only mature cheddar I've found near a ration box was normally deposited
in the front of my combats.

I heard it was about 1000 calories less than you needed per day if you were Exercising 'vigourously'. Insert innuendo accordingly.
I thought it was supposed to be more than you'd need...

If your talking about the ORP, it's

"Features of the 24-Hour Operational Ration Pack are:
• An individual ration for normal use in the field.
• Ration is designed to feed one person for one day.
• It has been designed to provide a balanced nutritional diet.
• Can be eaten hot or cold.
• ORP provides an average of 3800-4200 Kcal per ration.
• Ration is 10% protein, no more than 35% fat, and 55% carbohydrate."

But that changes if issued with the Hot Climate Suppliment that has additinal claories and that all changes with the indroduction of the new MCR Multi Climate Ration

ORP provides an average of 3800-4200 Kcal per ration.
But you can squeeze an extra 4-500 Kcal out of it if you neck the box and all the wrappings too.
Give the matches a swerve though, they tend to repeat.
