While all Allied mine warfare activities from Norway to the Mediterranean are covered in this book, the main focus is on minelaying by surface ships, particularly in, often hotly, contested enemy waters, from what were in effect light cruisers down to Coastal Forces, make-do conversions of merchant ships, and submarines including the Free French submarine Rubis.
