We seek a highly skilled Operations Quality Engineer to further compliment the organization and join a world-renowned business that is supplying more than 200 customers in over 40 countries across the globe. We are a truly international business, whose products are used for a variety of applications in key automotive, industrial, power generation, mining, construction and rail markets.

We are now seeking a highly experienced Operations Quality Engineer to join the Quality team. Reporting in to the Product Quality Manager, the Operations Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading the internal Operations Quality concerns within a specific process area. You will be required to resolve internal quality concerns and work with Darlington Engine Plant’s global supply base to resolve supplier quality problems.

* Provide support to both OEM and Operations, ensuring communications link with purchasing SQI groups worldwide to discuss complaints and quality issues with 8D follow-up.
* Generate defect analysis that drives cross functional team activities which ultimately reduces Internal & OEM defect reduction.
* Work cross functionally to resolve internal quality concerns.
* Process NCMR’s in a timely manner ensuring all costs associated with the disruption are recovered utilizing the Vendor Defective process.
* Work closely with suppliers and SQI to resolve supplier quality issues.
* Lead process capability within assigned area of plant and support Clamp Load studies as required with Product Engineering.
* Will be main Quality support when working shifts.
* Support functional excellence utilizing core AIAG tools such as PFMEA / DFMEA, Control Plans, FTA’s etc.

* An Engineering Degree, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing is preferred.
* Candidates must have a good understanding of Quality practices with extensive experience in a Quality driven Manufacturing environment.
* TS16949 Auditor trained preferred, but not essential.
* Must have the ability to interpret complex component drawings and understand geometric Tolerancing.
* Excellent communication, administration and organizational skills required.
* Candidates must have the ability to lead teams through Root Cause Analysis.
* Six Sigma Green belt trained would be advantageous.
