Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This remarkable woman is being honoured in France tomorrow.

    From The Times online

For those of who who have not heard of her please read the wiki entry; she was a campaigner for maternity rights, women's suffrage and despite being told to stay at home and knit by the War Office, she, along with a team of other women headed out to France where they created a hospital with 200 beds.

Are there any arrsers born in the Elsie Inglis Memorial Hospital?
