Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

For anyone who hasn't seen her site, this Ukrainian biker chick takes high speed tours through the Dead Zone around Chernobyl. Sometimes she takes her dad, a retired nuclear scientist along. Mostly its just her and the wolves and wild boars....

Weird stuff. But the reason I've posted here is because she's also a militaria buff with reference to the Great Patriotic War actions near here home town of Kiev in the Ukraine.

Sergey, you MUST know this bird, she's Russian, right ? ;-)

  2. Nice lady , who knows where this site is :D

Very much into ethical recovery too.
  3. And very sadly not entirely true

She cannot and has not taken bike rides through the dead zone, she has done the paying tour that anybody can take

The info contained apart from that is accurate apparently.

Damn good website, loads of us thought she was a female hero of Lara Croft proportions until it emerged that the parts about her motorcycling were not quite as she presented them.

Un-escorted travel within the zone his highly restricted but organised tours are available

Awwww, now you've REALLY pissed in my chips Jagman...so where and how did you discover that the madasafish Ukrainian biker chick was "faking it " ?

I came to that site about two years ago....does the official tour allow you INSIDE the buildings ?

Sounds like a sniffy Guardian put down to me...who says she's not for real then ?

I'm open to being convinced - but you ain't there yet.

  7. Looked a her website in detail about a year or so ago

I ride an Kawasaki ZZR1100 and spend a lot of time with Urbex types (underground wanderer myself), when I saw this website I got quite excited at the prospect of having a go myself so looked into it closely.
Only to discover (very very sadly) the truth, from a guy who is involved in the Chernobyl Tours.

From what I gather once you are in the Dead Zone you can pretty much go anywhere that a Dosimeter says is safe......

I do know of some fellas who where importing heavy plant equipment from Kiev a few years ago but sadly they are all dead now!!!!

Apparently the catfish in the river next to the power plant really are 10feet long though!
  8. She's famous for her WWII battlefield digging in militaria, military history internet circles not Chernobyl.
