President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday called for Egypt to pursue nuclear energy, as the US ambassador said Washington would be willing to help its Mideast ally develop a peaceful program.
If you can't beat them join them.

At the same time some of the sh*t was kicking off about Iran Brazil joined the countries currently using nuclear energy. When done within the international framework there is no problem with any country using nuclear power. The western world has made that clear - and you'd hope that Eygpt would now be putting pressure on Iran to comply with international wishes. In other news the Queen was discovered in a "6 in a bed romp" with charles, mdn, dale and two prizewinning horses.

In case you have not notice this is a unstable part of the world. Pakistan is one assassination attempt from civil unrest. Egypt is going to have difficulty in transition to a new government after Mubarak. Saudi Arabia may decide it also wants Nuclear energy because they need it too. Material could leak out even with the wonderful job the IAEA is dong. It gets awfully difficult to see a smooth transition to modern prosperity for the area.

The more moving parts in a engine ,the more likely it will breakdown.

so they can't even think about using something we rely on to run our countries and economies?

If they are using it for peacefull means i don't see the problem, infact they should be shown that co-operating with the international powers that be brings benifits, or should we rattle our sabres and make another enemy?

Eeek what a scarey thought, if American Intelligence is the brain of the US body and your analogy is true, we're all in big trouble
