Good actor, especially in The Wicker Man. Not a bad singer, either. I also recall him in his early role as a spy, but my bloody memory fails me ..................nope, it's back! Callan.

Indeed, truly a "Red file for Callan" today...

Why does Edward Woodward have so many "d"s in his name? Because if he didn't he would be called Ewar Woowar...top bloke.

RIP .......... Ewar Woowar

wooden or wicker coffin :?:  :?:

Following the passing of an actor famed for his role in the Wicker Man, a commerative mahogany plaque is to be placed in the area of the Royal Cornwall Hospital where he spent his final moments.

Or would 'Wood for the Edward Woodward ward' do :?:

Sgt Wellbeloved in stand up virgin soldiers!

I presume given his age he was a national serviceman?

Great actor, RIP

The Equalizer was the one thing we always watched on a monday?.. on BFBS in Germany, before hitting the NAAFI of course.

Great days

RIP......Fart In A Bath.

A great actor (I think it was Gielgud who called him 'Fart in the Bath' - he said that's what Edward Woodward sounded like.)

Callan - Nails. Gave Toby Meers a good hiding a few times.

Farewell to a great actor. He was fantastic in the original version of the Wicker Man.

He used to live in Kineton (near the ammo depot) and would often chat to the guys in the chippy in the village.

Apparently a really nice bloke.
