Irony of ironies but, according to the Jewish Chronicle, fearless socialist and renowned humanitarian Ed Balls is to be attacked for his privileged background. It seems that he too has a 'Bullingdon' moment in his Oxford past which is now being used in a series of 'attack ad' posters. Apparently the bookies reckon he's toast. Mandy must despair.

  2. Can I contribute to the cost of the ads? Would like to see the back of this piggy-eyed nasty piece of work.......His result alone is worth staying up all night for. Hope Michael Portillo will be commentating in a studio somewhere.

Touch of the James Gray about him as well. Trying to claim 33 quid for a remembrance day wreath, (according to the infomercial)..

It does make you wonder what the Labour machine would have done if they'd had something similar on a leading Tory - front page stuff on the Mirror with a BBC expose following on behind.

I do think that bright young things shuld be warned about their choice of fancy dress costumes though - it could be a life-changing decision.

  6. Apparently, they have a Jacqui Smith video coming out today. Should be fun.

As repellent as Balls is it would ill become ARRSE for us to attack him for going to a party in fancy dress. Wearing a German Army uniform or even an SS uniform does not make him a Nazi any more than me dressing as a punk makes me a anarchist, wearing a shemagh makes me a suicide bomber or wearing a dress make my a woman or a homosexual. All of which I've worn recently.

I can understand why Jewish groups would find anything connected to the Third Reich 'distasteful' but they should also be wary of the kind of intolerance they are demonstrating.

Would that Balls and his cronies had shown more balls when there was that ridiculous furore over Prince Harry's comedy Nazi outfit. A few well chosen words at that point might have nipped this sort of sillyness in the bud.

  8. So, just been reading that the class warrior claims he went to comprehensive school, but only spent ONE term there, spending the rest of his time at a 500 year old private school.

Now he is keen on EVERY schoolchild receiving the same crap state education...funny that.

Wonk wonk wonk, would strop mi self silly, but Oh !

    john
Pity it's come out so late.
Balls looks Mental the way he stares.

  10. Ed Balls represents normanton...I really don't think the Jewish or Zionist vote is an issue for him there. now if they had footage of him abusing a whippet or mocking a tweed cap...that would be electoral suicide. mind you, he may wish to curtail his shopping trips from his North London home for a while.

  11. Hmmm. Shall we arrest or denigrate half the cast of 'Allo Allo'?
As much as I dislike Balls, I can't see the problem going to a fancy dress party as a student almost 30 years ago.

Well there's no smoke without spliffing up first.

  13. Fair point... but he HAS been an active member of the government who has turned even the most mildly distasteful joke into a hate crime.

    Chickens coming home to roost!!

No and neither can anyone else, quite rightly. Yet the Labour machine was very happy to use pictures of a Bullingdon Club bash years ago to drive its message of privileged toffs. It's the hypocrisy of the whole thing and the delicious irony of one of Labour's bigwigs getting meshed in the foul net they did so much to weave.

  15. Such a shame it didn't come out earlier in the campaign, it could have caused him so much more damage. Mind you the Tory's Education spokesman Michael Gove is another corrupt little fecker as well - it wasn't long ago he was trying to influence the MOD to sell PRB to some of his developer mates considerably below its development value. Oooooh is that a backhander, thank you very much indeed!
