    Ecuador, an OPEC non-member, normally extracts 532,000 bbl/day.

    The state oil company, Petroecuador, suspended exports yesterday because it had to close its main pipeline due to "violent protests."

    The protestors are aggrieved by what they view as the inequitable distribution of Ecuador's oil wealth.
