Whilst doing a bit of general research into ebooks I came across a piece of software called overdrive which allows you to 'borrow' books from your local library in electronic format. Whilst it would appear that many local libraries support this it isn't anywhere near universal which is a pity. Even worse, mine doesn't which means I'm currently trawling mates for anyone who has a library card for one that does.

Is anyone aware of any military libraries or welfare organisations which use this system as I'd quite like to give it a try. Before anyone says it, yes I know that I could just use any one of the many torrent sites.

I use that for downloading lib books on the galaxy tab.

I don't always get what I am looking for because the tab isn't always supported. You may well have better luck from a laptop.
Try charm for joining libraries ni
