East Germany in racist Neo-Nazi shocker - Tell us it isn't true Bugsy

I was there continually for 19 months in the late 1970s.
So are you saying you didn't have an apartment in West Berlin that you visited regularly?
Because that would make all your stories about the CIA and MI6 visiting said apartment a load of lies wouldn't it?

..........so the Shield and the Sword of the party spent less time in the DDR than I did in the Falklands? Cool (well, bloody freezing mainly)

Dresden? I seem to recall you saying that you lived in Cottbus.
He did indeed. And several other places, to the point that I'm starting to think he was actually a tramp sleeping in underpasses and under hedges.
Time and locations are flexible mediums with DaManDrugs.
Possibly due to the exceptionally pure form of heroin that he used.

Excellent, straight in with the "funny" names and the :mrgreen::mrgreen: to show how funny he is.

Well, what we know is that whilst DaManDrugs was in the GDR he was:
1. A university lecturer
2. A picture framer
3. An expert picture restorer
4. Wrote a book
5. Was in 29 Field Ambulance / seconded to other units

So we must be talking at least 10 years over there. Now we know he wasn't there in '82/'83 because he was in the Falklands.:rofl::rofl:

He is, however, a black belt in google. So be careful lest he google you to death.
You'd have to agree that @Maple's very sharp Stick, Sharp, Bugsy Poking For The Use Of x 1 was bang on target there...

I did, but that was after I moved back to the GDR at the begininng of 1990. While I was there during the late 1970s, I lived in Berlin, Capital of the GDR the most time, but also in Dresden.

I'd forgotten about this..........

Remember the socialist paradise that was the land of workers and builders that Bugsy fondly remembers and misses so much? Turns out it was not so much a land of worker's solidarity with the 2nd and 3rd world, just another hypocritical dictatorship

This is not entirely new. There has been mention of that in numerous documentaries on German TV. The ruling class literally lived in a world of their own guarded by the Stasi. The presence of foreign workers and students was all part and parcel of the socialist brotherhood garbage.

So you maintain that you spent longer in the GDR than I did. Really? I was there continually for 19 months in the late 1970s. In addition I was also there a further nine months until re-unification in October 1990. That's two years and two months altogther.
Ignoring your piss poor math for a moment, have you been in your time machine again?

I put it to you that you don't know what you're talking about. I lived for 18 months in the USSR, six months in Poland and 14 months in the GDR in the late Seventies. I also spent five years in the former GDR after reunification, so you're really going to have to work very hard indeed to convince me that you really are au fait with the topic at hand.
You really are a lying belter.

Slave workers from one socialist country to another.

The Vietnamese probably had similar experiences in the DDR as well.
As did all the 'fraternal' countries. Whilst working in bomb disposal projects in Cambodia and Vietnam I worked with several locals who had trained in Germany. As my rubbish German was still better than my Khmer or Viet, German became our 'lingua franca'.

I even met a khmer who spoke Hungarian as a result of such an exchange visit. Now there's a niche language combination!

Can anyone smell burning, or is it just me?

Gap's Triangle Trouser factory fire...
Authorities said that the fire initially broke out on the building's 10th floor, where trousers were stored for shipment
I wonder where Pants O'Flame was at the time... probably telling the 10th floor store man about his nine twenty two, twenty eight five years infinitely variable time in the People's Paradise.

Oh, please don't tell me that his fantasies have taken that turn.
