Over the last 2 days I have received a couple of unusual notifications as below. No link is available unless by copy and paste. Is this intentional?

Dear donmac, Ben_surfsup has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Random photo's - in the Photography forum of The Army Rumour Service. This thread is located at: http://www.arrse.co.uk/photography/172935-random-photos-new-post.html Here is the message that has just been posted: ***************Video Introduction to Digital Photography – Part 1thats a link to a video series on the basics, also Part 2, 3 and the rest of that site (only the free articles) are well worth a read. some of the more in-depth stuff, like hyper-focal distance can make a huge difference to your images :) A couple of mine :) Image: http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae219/benuk/12.jpg Image: http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae219/benuk/11.jpg *************** There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again. I have been getting the same thingfor two or three days now. Not all threads, maybe about a third of them

Dear DavidBOC, CivvyLurker has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - ARRSE Kennel Club - A Dog Owners Thread - in the ARRSE Social, Events & Networking forum of The Army Rumour Service. This thread is located at: http://www.arrse.co.uk/arrse-social...e-kennel-club-dog-owners-thread-new-post.html Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Ah yes, don't get me started on our travelling brethren. I'm in East Angular and we have loads of them here. I have to be careful where I park the car if the dogs are in it, where I let them off-lead and if asked, my lurcher is epileptic. A mate in Cambridge had her saluki x lurcher nicked from her locked back garden when the midsummer fair was on a couple of years ago. We ran an intensive publicity campaign with posters, local radio etc and made the dog too hot to keep. Mate got her back but only after paying £300 'expenses' and the poor girl had been run into the ground. Do you have organised walks for hounds in Oz? Like these Greyhound Walks in Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire & Norfolk They are a great way of raising the profile of greys and lurchers as family pets, whilst having a mooch followed by cake and coffee. Although 40+ hounds walking together tend to fill the poo-bins :-D *************** There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again. Cabana-

For what it is worth, I just got notified of your post.
Oh, thats odd. My email provider changed my IP address (but promised the old one would remain for a week) and I updated the DNS records. I thought it was all sorted because I started receiving the usual spams and some tests I did worked. I retract my report and shall see whats happened with my email.

Got notified of this post too. I some areas I might offer advice. As to setting up email, etc, I would be no help at all. When I got new computer and wireless I had to have Apple support walk me through it. (good thing is Apple support was in Newfoundland, not Mumbai, easier accent to deal with)

Thanks David. I think this is just a DNS issue. I updated my DNS on Friday evening and it can take up to 48 hours to propagate, but I suppose it can take longer.

You should have talked to the ARRSE computer support team, we would have solved your problems ;-)

Since this morning I am only receiving the odd one or two email notifications, instead of all the threads I am tied up with. Funny? No? Then why is it happening please?
