The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Chaps,

I have a question: I have numerous DVD's which i would like to convert so that it enables me to cross deck to my external hard drive and watch on my laptop.

    Any ideas?

  2. a dvd ripper is what you need, there are many types out there.

dvd fab decrypter will let you save them as Mp4 video files (which you can set to rip at the resolution of your laptop's screen, so saving you file space) - they should play under WMP no problem.
  5. DVD Fab is good. I use it to put my extensive collection of rewatchable DVDs onto my netbook in batches so I can watch them while at 'work'. With a 250gb hard drive I usually have about 20 films or TV series available. I've also used DVDShrink, which works.
