Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My my, we do live in interesting times.
The Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, reports that Netherlands Intelligence Agency, AIVD, has been pulled out of Iran in response to an 'imminent US led air attack'.

Sorry, don't speak Dutch but a ropey Babelfish translation is here:

Edited to add, I don't see how the US or Britain could afford such an operation. We're skint and have no spare capacity man wise.
  2. Don't speak too soon. Riabright hasn't been on these forums in a few hours, maybe she's been parachuted in as the advance party :x :x
  3. I've got no knowledge of Dutch newspapers - is De Telegraaf the equivalent of the News of the World, or is it a broadsheet? I'd be much more inclined to give this credence if it's the latter.
  4. I've no real idea about De Telegraaf. I've read that it's the equivalent of the Daily Mail, though  . Mind, all newspapers are to be mistrusted really. Let's hope the article is a mistake or a fabrication.
