driving licence NI

Trying to sort the re-registration of my car in NI, DVLA tell me I need NI licence!
Anyone else heard this? I like my English licence, points and all. :wink:
To top it all I have to pay £50 for the privledge of a NI one.

They're talking bullocks mate. I know loads of people over here with UK licences & registrations plus some who have three licences! Mainland Britain,N.I and a Southern Ireland one as well!!

EU licences for all member states are recognised throughout EU and a few other participating non EU countries.
However the licence in question is a UK licenece and is therefore valid in NI anyway without any provisions or restrictions.

You should not be talking with the local office in Omagh but the main Office in Colraine
