Dr Dre's Beats Headphones

#1
I want to replace the (sub) standard Apple 'phones on my iPod to improve the sound quality, reduce noise leakage & ensure a better fit. These Beats 'phones are all over the magazines etc. The reviews look good, but the prices seem very high.
Are they worth the money or can I do as well or better with another brand?

Thanks in advance

Any Beats I've seen have been very cheap feeling. Most have also broke pretty quickly, a friend broke hers twice in a week, and it was through nothing more than everyday use.

I use the little ones that go in to your ears, Philips Bass somethings have been good for me, about a tenner.

I have a pair. Very happy with them. The sound quality is excellent. You also get a zillion different ear bud thingys so you're guaranteed a good fit.

Pricey, yes......worth it....I think so.

With regards to them breaking? I've slept with them on, trained with them on, laid on them etc. No dramas so far.

What most people don't know is that Dr Dre obtained his doctorate for completing a Phd in electronics and acoustics at MIT specialising in semiconductor and nano composite technology. That's why they're so expensive, youre paying for his expertise.

Alternatively they're made in the same Chinese factory as all the other headphones on the market that cost 1/10th of the price using the same technology and youve more cash than sense.

They are excellent head phones, A friend of mine paid something on the lines of £200 for a pair. Me on the other hand be a tight bastard went and bought a pair of fakes for £25 on ebay and the sound quality is exactly the same!! If you do want a pair get them free with most HTC handsets these days that have the beats audio built into the devices :)

I have a pair of Bose, Dre Beats, and Sennheiser.

Sennheiser is the worst out of the 3, Beats is the best.

theses head phones were on fake Britain last night, apparently they counterfeit ones break easily.

I love mine as the little ones wont stay in me ears. If your buying them make sure you try them on as i bought the small which hurt the little bones in my ear and then had to go back and get the middle size. Must have big ears for a small girl......

Have you done anything that involves leaving your pit with them on?
