DPM poncho rolls?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anyone know anything about the new DPM poncho rolls? I'm not talking about the old 58 poncho roll, but the new one which is dpm and fits onto a plce webbing system. If anyone has one, could you tell me if they are any good, and also how they fit on, as the plce belt doesn't have the little loops on the belt the old 58 belt did.

  2. I've seen some nasty webtex ones, could those be the ones you mean ?

Can't quite see the point of a bum roll when you have rocket pouches !

  3. Why if you have a daysac ? Had a dpm one in the 80s made by sass brillant stick nbc suit in do up brillant .Dosent the new one come with a belt
    still why ?

If you want one, go to:

http://www.sasskit.co.uk and click on Products, then Military Webbing and Pouches

They do a Kit Roll (poncho roll for the 21st Century) and a NBC Suit and Boot Carrier (pretty similar but with a belt and Mk II can be clipped on to bergan like side pouch).

    I, however, use a daysack.
