Downloading Adobe reader to memory stick

Discussion in 'Gaming and Software' started by sc_obvious, Jan 26, 2011.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I need to download adobe to a memory stick but everytime I go through the download it doesn't ask me where I want to save it to - I've googled it and tried a couple of suggestions but they don't seem to work. Any ideas?

  2. Are you downloading it to transfer to another computer without internet? If so, I think the download is very small as it's actually a downloader program that then pulls the latest file off the net so that wouldn't help you. Try http://download.com for an older complete version.

If you want to actually run the program off the USB stick then go to http://portableapps.com/ and get their version.

  4. I will second the foxit, it's free smaller and does everything Adobe does and more.

  5. What's foxit like as a free PDF creater? Using premo for basic conversion, but new version is getting on my tits.

  6. The free version at the moment did everything apart from save pdf to send via email ( it watermarks it with evaluation copy). However with the magic of google i "found" the serial number and now its does everything i need it to.

  7. Thanks for the ideas - sorted it!
