Does Private Bryann qualify for bounty?

#1
Imagine if you will.

Private Bryann had been in the TA for a good few years and has done a couple of tours overseas.

A few months ago he was diagnosed with an illness which ment he could not attempt his fitness test as per bounty requirement.

Is it still possible for him to qualify for his bounty having not attempted his fitness test?

Discuss.....

Will he be fit enough to pass the test by April next year?

His CO could sign an efficiency certificate and explain to the Bde Comd why he had done so, in the absence of a MATT2 pass.

Will he ever recover from this illness?

I have Achilles Tendonitis and had a letter from an Orthopaedic Surgeon explaining why I could'nt complete my CFT, so said Pte Bryann should be ok.

Probably, but he might struggle with passing the test in the future.

passing or taking part ? maybe I´m wrong ( our unit as always been pass or fail ) , but as of next April ,, it is a pass or fail ,, not just taking part .

As long as you get a suitable biff chit, and your unit is prepared to accept you being medically downgraded, then you should be OK.

Talk to your CoC, but be aware that if you get a specialist medical, they may ask you to leave the TA if you're properly biffed.

Taking part. He's struggled to attempt before the diagnosis.

Bounty???

They sent a team of US Army Rangers behind German lines to rescue him, isn't that enough?

Young people today, they've no gratitude!

If a soldier has been fit and will return to fitness its a bit of a disinsentive to say "ah ha you're sick, we don't want you!" Maybe he'll just conclude that he's got better things to do with his life than soldier for an ungrateful nation and an army that doesn't care about him!

A position similiar to my own, torn MCL, ACL and fckuked my miniscus in me wee knee 8O , and have been reliably informed that if downgraded and the unit are prepared to keep you on strength then you shall(provided you have done all the other bumph) get your holiday spending monies :D :D.
Then when suitably repaired you go see the Doc and get your self back on the train again :D
