Does anyone know the RAMC Grace?

Discussion in 'Professionally Qualified, RAMC and QARANC' started by Bart12, Jun 21, 2006.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Needed for Corps Weekend Regimental Dinner on Friday!

Your assistance would be much appreciated.
  2. RAMC Grace?

  6. Bart12 i've PM you the grace.
  7. God Bless this food and drink
To the use of these thy servants
In the Royal Army Medical Corps
    And keep us mindful
That it is not for ourselves
    But for others
    That we strive.

    Through Jesus Christ Our Lord

    From memory. Not bad, eh?

It is generally acceptable to exchange "Royal Army Medical Corps" for either "Army Medical Services" for a mixed crowd or "Defence Medical Services" for a Joint one.

  8. No, but I knew the Ash Vale Rose once!
  9. Never mind Grace or Rose, the last time I was at Keogh (about 1998) there was a bird on another course who won the Tri-Service award.... ;)
  10. Oh God help me be grateful for my portion
    of RAMC prepared culinary abortion.....
  11. Dear Lord,

Please make this QARANC wet and moist,

that i may slip into her with ease,

and become the ride of her young life!!

    Not bad and nearly right:

God Bless this food and wine
of these thy servants of the ********** (this can be Army Medical Services/ Royal Army Medical Corps or unit)
    And keep us mindful
That it is not for ourselves
    But for others
    That we strive.

    Through Jesus Christ Our Lord

  13. Actually, I just went to check and we're both wrong. Here it is:

God bless this food and wine to sustain the work of these, thy servants in the Royal Army Medical Corps, and keep us mindful that it is not for ourselves but for others that we strive

    Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord,

Amen acquired from the Corps Chapel, Keogh Barracks. As stated, it is often acceptable to insert AMS/DMS/whatever at the appropriate juncture.

  14. Thank you all for your assistance.
