Dodgy gif?

#1
Moments ago, I was reading through http://www.arrse.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic/t=144861/postdays=0/postorder=asc/start=20.html and was impressed with YIM's "BUMP" gif. Wondering whether this was something that could be developed for my own use, I right-clicked the gif, opened the "properties" and copied the first part of the URL into the address bar.

Immediately, Avast identified a trojan attack.

Is the gif dodgy? Does it have any effect on ARRSErs?

Comments and debate, please, until msr comes up with the definitive answers...

The gif itself is not dodgy, but I would suspect that one of the 'sponsored links' on w w w . t a b 1 . d e is being identified by avast as trying to download a trojan.

Google identifies it as safe: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=www.tab1.de

So does AVG: http://www.avg.com.au/resources/web-page-scanner/

No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days
.
Google wasn't sitting beside me. Probably best if I stick to porn sites.
