Do you remember the 'chuff chart lady in Northern Ireland

Does anyone remember the little old lady who used to give free gifts to soldiers, police and prison officers? It was often a small calender with the words 'God bless our security forces'. We are raising funds to get a permanent memorial to her, at

or look on Facebook for 'remembering Gladys Blackburne' where you can find a link to donate.

She's been dead over 20 years and you've only just initiated this appeal?

Bone idle.

She visted the mil wing at Musgrave park when I was there with a liver infection and some scrote had attacked her and punched her. She was still cheerful. She was a star.

A liver infection, and beaten up- surely she should have been the one in hospital!

Sorry I wasn't clear, I had the liver infection, she had been beaten up.

Was she the little old lady that used to give you Ulster calendars and Christian cartoon literature? She just walk into our room at North Howard Street Mill, unannounced, and we'd have to turn the porn off and hide the grot mags.

She was a pain in the arse; she had both a political and religious message to push; and she's getting nowt from me.
