Do you get paid in training?

  1. Big question. Do you get paid while doing training? I have being what training is like but not if you get paid.

    Starting rate for all new entrants in basic training for the first 20+ weeks is £12,571 a year then increases to over £15,000 dependant on job and promotion. Theres a payband thread on here for Pte- Lcpl

  5. Do they still do the credits system, where they give them £30 a week or something and then hold the rest or does it all go into their banks now?

    Yes you do get paid in basic - current new entrant rate is:

    £12571.92 PA

  7. No, you pay them, how do you think you will be able to pay for your dodgy Regimental Tracksuit and a Padlock for your civ locker, PW, most definatly a Wah me thinks.
  8. Oh, they're going to love you down at the Recruiting Office. "Of course you can fly helicopters as a Pte in a Pioneer Regt, but most of your mates will tell you that it's not all that it's cracked up to be and that digging holes is much more fun".
