Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can anyone help i've got to prepare a Skills and Theory lesson and i can't find anyone with the correct format.

    Thank you

  2. I've got the DIT precis to hand. No I'm not a geek, I've just moved house and my military stuff hasn't found a home yet!! :D

Is it the EDIP/Tech Skills lesson structures you're after?

  3. Are these lessons for the DITS course ?

  4. If you are doing the DIT course, you should be taught the format that you need to follow for a good grade.

    But the basic format is

    Intro

    Interest
    need
    title
    range (rules)
    objective

    Development

    The content of the lesson

    Consolidation

    summary
    restate objectives
    test
    further questions
    reference
    look forward

    Hope this helps

  5. Yes, they have to give 1 x 20 min theory lesson and a 30 min EDIP/Skills lesson.

As mentioned though you will be shown the format and have to opportunity to give a 10 min practise period to further guide you. Keep it simple with a subject that you are familiar with.

  6. Minor change to INTRO there is now an 'S' Safety brief.

  7. There has always been sfety within an EDIP lesson. It is within your range. ie Prior knowledge, left handers, safety (re-iterated at various stages of the practices) etc.

    :D
