wasn't it a sigs establishment carried over from ww2? just updated with radio and radar for belfast airport.
  5. I was there in 2002, bleak as ****
  6. I visited this place some time in the mid 1980s... It was definitely R Sigs of some kind (plus a dog handler or two) and fcuk knows what they did there.
  7. It was scaleybacks with a section from the Girdwood Roulement Battalion for protection. We did it as 2nd Field RA in 92/93.

  8. That was Auld Sappers REst dug hut when he upset the Guards Badgeman
  9. Not in 77, it wasn't. But, I suppose times move on etc etc.
  10. IRC correctly I 1982 a section of pioneers from Lisburn were providing guard. If any chunky had spent all his pay he was sent up there until his finances had recovered.
