Disturbance and JPA

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just a quick one - hoping that someone can have a quick scan of the JSP.

I've had disturbance approved on JPA however it hasnt been paid into the bank. Is disturbance paid as a BACS payment or as a supplimentary under JPA? I'm getting a differing story from HR and JPAC.

Thanks to anyone in the know.
  2. Check which date you entered as the move date. DA is only paid a maximum of 42 days (6 weeks) prior to move date, so even though it is on JPA they will hold it until the exact date before releasing it for payment.

It will be on a supplementary statement.
  3. Got mine on the date of the move.
  4. JPA won't let you apply for Disturbance any more than 30 days before move date either.
  5. Thanks to those who replied. It would appear that the money is going onto my pay at the end of the month. Disturbance can be paid 6 weeks prior to LTA, however, in this case Glasgow have done me the favour of putting it onto the pay i'm getting 3 days after my LTA. Why it cant just be paid by BACS like all the other JPA claims i dont know!!!
