Callaway Golf has an exciting opportunity for a talented DC Manager in our new 120,000 square foot distribution centre in Swindon. You will be heavily involved in the planning & implementation stages of this project, with go live in January 2016.

The Role

Manage, direct and coordinate all shipping and warehouse activities across EMEA, to achieve

productivity targets and provide budgetary oversight and guidance to the team.


  • Lead, manage and develop supervisors and team leads in the daily operations of the distribution centre including conducting regular effective team briefings
  • Manage the warehouse labour resource ensuring workload is effectively prioritised and scheduled
  • Create a positive team culture driving high levels of productivity, engagement and operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, company policy and other legal requirements
  • Work with internal teams (Systems, SAP & WMS, Custom Club and Logo Ball Operations) to implement & direct process improvement
  • Develop, monitor and meet distribution centre budgets including direct labour, overtime, facilities, and other miscellaneous expenses
  • Support and drive towards developing a world class operation
The Person

  • Required: 5+ years proven successful distribution management experience
  • A track record of operational improvements, change management & latest industry standards
  • Working knowledge of best practices in automation such as conveyored picking environments utilising RF scanning and paperless technologies
  • SAP and Warehouse Management Systems and experience of modern narrow aisle surroundings
  • Able to plan, co-ordinate, delegate, motivate, evaluate, & supervise the work of others
  • Strong, hands-on, supervisory skills including communication, problem solving, influencing, change management, motivation & conflict management
  • Able to exercise sound judgement in establishing & implementing policies & procedures
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast paced changing environment
  • Good literacy, numeracy, analytical & strategic skills with accuracy and attention to detail
